He has always had an interest in art and started painting in 1992 after a hiatus of a number of years.
He started painting in watercolours and taking summer courses at Lakeland College in Vermilion and credits Dean Reeves for his wonderful instruction and sharing his knowledge of painting.
Bill started using oil paints in 2002 because of the richness of the colours. Bill's work is representational and primarily focused on the beauty of our mountains in Alberta and British Columbia.
Bill is an avid hiker and thus paints scenes from his journeys through our mountains. Some of his most recent works are inspired from trips to the Everest region of Nepal.
