Liz Roberts

A native of Surrey, England,
Liz Roberts arrived in Canada in 1947.

Liz took up painting in oils
while living in Toronto
and over the years
channelled her artistic leanings
to watercolours and acrylics.

Liz settled in Calgary in 1993
where she now exhibits at the
Centennial Art Gallery.
Liz has had numerous solo and group shows
in Toronto and Calgary.
Her work is to be found in private collections
in Canada, the USA and Great Britain.

Artist's Statement

“My art is directly related to my emotional response to the essence of the subject matter. I derive great pleasure from interpreting the natural world, the landscape and I love the freedom of the unworldly expressive nature of abstract. Colour determines the spirit of all my paintings.”
